Wear resistance of hard anodized aluminium

I have an aluminium rail on which 2 steel rollers run up at an angle of about 80 degree. The force in the roller is about 4500 N. The rollers wear of the untreated aluminum very fast. Can hard anodizing improve the wear resistance? Or will the force on the roller break the anodized layer? Please let me know if you have any relevant experience with similar applications.
