I used Zing on my Pontoon Railings, now they have a white film

Can anyone help me fix this? I used Zng on my pontoons and it worked great. Then I used it on one of my railings bar and it turned it white. I've tried to get it off, but I can't. I've heard that using drano or easy off might deanodize it and clean it. Would that be a safe bet?
