: : : Working on a project for an artist that requires some type of assurance of no fading of gold dyed aluminum sheets mounted in a inside environment, however, exposed to sunlight. My recommendation is to use inorganic dye (FAO). Cannot find any rating data or confirmation that this would be the best approach.
: : : Thanks in advance for any help.

: Hi,
: As per Clariant's data sheet, provided the aluminium sheets are dyed by SANODAL GOLD 4N dye[inorganic dye] and anodised conventionally to a film thickness around 20 micron and sealed properly after dyeing then the light fastness of this sheet could be rated as >8 - This rating is based on the test in accordance with ISO standard 2135 (exposure to the ATLAS Weather-Ometer 606 WRC).
: Hope this answers to your query.
: Good Luck...
