Old Pots and Pans

Have some very old Wear-ever Tacmuco Aluminum Pots, Pans and other cookwear. Has the NSF mark from 1953-1974.
Would like to know how to tell if they have been Anodized or not.
If they are, or are not Anodized can they be cleaned?
Can I use Bar Keepers Friend on them?
Bar Keepers Friend "Contains oxalic acid." Some pots have stain rings in them.
Should you still cook with this cookwear, in this condition?
Please Help me.
