We are experiencing a reaction between adhesives in a vulcanizing/bonding of neoprene to gold anodized aluminum (5052). The aluminum sometimes has a very dark brown stain after vulcanizing. However, the staining is very intermittent and we are having a problem identifying which adhesive and why the problem is intermittent. Also, some of the stains are on opposite side of aluminum plate from side where bonding occurs; as if a gas went thruogh a hole in plate and reacted on the back side. Anyone have any experience with something similar?
