Aluminum Industry Announces Aluminum Week 2012 in Chicago
The combined program will include The Aluminum Association’s Annual Meeting, the AEC Extrusion Symposium, and the AAC International Anodizing Conference & Exposition. “Co-location with our partner organizations provides value back to our members,” said Heidi B. Brock, President of The Aluminum Association. “Leaders can assess the state of the U.S. aluminum industry and determine how best to maximize Association resources and cooperation to support industry growth.” “For the past two years, the Aluminum Association and Aluminum Extruders Council have worked together on Aluminum Week,” said Aluminum Extruders Council President, Rand A. Baldwin, CAE. “The addition of the Aluminum Anodizers Council to Aluminum Week is a great enhancement to the event for the industry.” Aluminum Week will be held October 15-18, 2012 at the Renaissance Chicago Downtown hotel located at 1 West Wacker Drive. “Bringing together the three most prominent trade associations covering the aluminum industry is an exciting development and opportunity for AAC members,” said Aluminum Anodizers Council President, Gregory T. Rajsky, CAE, adding, “Chicago offers the perfect venue for Aluminum Week.” The Aluminum Week program of events will include meetings of the three trade associations’ committees and working groups, as well as educational content and networking functions. Registration will be open this summer.
The Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC) is an international association dedicated to helping manufacturers, engineers, architects, and others to discover why aluminum extrusion is the better material process for better products. Specialized conferences, seminars, workshops, and meetings throughout the year provide an outlet where AEC members can confront and solve today’s challenges. More than 130 member companies represent aluminum extruders operating hundreds of extrusion presses in hundreds of plants worldwide, along with primary aluminum producers and other industry suppliers. The Aluminum Anodizers Council is the international trade association of firms engaged in aluminum anodizing and whose mission it is to support its members—and users of anodized aluminum—through education, advocacy, and promotion.
