AAC Issues Call for Papers for 2010 Anodizing Conference
“The AAC International Anodizing Conference program expands and improves every year due to the willingness of the anodizing community to share their expertise and knowledge with one another,” commented AAC Education Committee Chair Jude Runge of CompCote International in Elmhurst, Illinois. "The Anodizing Conference is an essential industry event offering a great forum in which to exchange new ideas, innovations, processes, and technologies.” Based on the submission of abstracts, selected individuals offering papers for consideration will be invited to deliver presentations at the Conference in October. Papers will be selected based on criteria such as relevance, originality, quality, accuracy, practicality, usefulness, and noncommercial tone and content. Papers can address key topics likely to be of interest to all registrants, as well as a number of specific-interest presentations for the Focus Sessions to be conducted over the two days of educational programming. Abstracts will be reviewed and evaluated by the Council's Education Committee during the AAC Winter Meetings in January as they organize the program for the 2010 Anodizing Conference. However, the Council will continue to consider abstracts submitted after January 2010. Key topics likely to be of interest to all registrants will be identified, as will a number of issues or specific-interest presentations for the in-depth Focus Sessions. Business and industry issues, anodizing processes, environmental practices, metallurgy, and waste treatment are just some of the topics that have been addressed at the conference in the past. Those interested in presenting a paper may view a list of topics, including subjects addressed at past Conferences and suggestions taken from conference evaluation forms, by visiting the website at www.anodizing.org and following the link to the Call for Papers from the home page, or contact AAC at mail@anodizing.org.
